Special Edition on Growth MindsetDr. Dweck found that people’s theories about their own intelligence had a significant impact on their motivation, effort, and approach to challenges. Those who believe their abilities are malleable are more likely to embrace challenges and persist despite failure. This model of the fixed vs. growth mindset shows how cognitive, affective, and behavioral features are linked to one’s beliefs about the malleability of their intelligence. By helping students to develop a growth mindset, we can help them to learning more effective and efficient. The 13th edition of the Pan-EU Conference will be devoted to explore teaching practices for cultivating a growth mindset in a classroom. The conference is free of charge, held in English on 22nd of April 2021 from 15:00 to 16:30 Central European Time. Apply now by clicking the button below. By helping students to develop a growth mindset, teachers make teaching - and learning - more effective. Growth mindset students request better feedback and have better learning orientation. They also show grit more often and thus persist longer. Share your growth mindset practice with us and apply as a presenter. Contribute to Growth Mindset PadletWould you like to present your Growth Mindset best practice, but you don't want to talk in front of teachers? You can still present and get a Certificate of Poster Presentation. Prepare a Power Point (or some other type) of presentation on Growth Mindset practice you use in your own class. Upload it to the conference Padlet until 22nd April 2021. Please note, presentation should be in English. We will consider only the presentations about Growth Mindset best practice. Please do not upload any theoretical articles. Looking forward to circling all the teaching ideas. Participate in Growth Mindset MentimeterShare your thoughts and ideas about the Growth Mindset on Mentimeter. We will present the answers at the 13th Pan-EU Conference on Digital Education. By creating this collection of thoughts and ideas you help the community of teachers to grow. The results will be also published in Pan-EU Conference on Digital Education Facebook group. Teaching students with growth mindset is cultivating an environment, where individuals believe their ability and talents can improve over time with hard work and effort. By fostering a growth mindset, students are taught to embrace challenges with open arms, and failure is viewed a learning experience.
