Reading to children shouldn't be just a way to relax after lunch or before nap time. It's a powerful and effective learning tool. Our kindergarten teachers are presenters in this important webinar, and they are shining examples of how to use various read-aloud techniques successfully in the kindergarten and preschool settings.

Benefits for the participants

The presenters are kindergarten educators who previously attended training in Vienna on reading aloud methods. After the training, they chose specific methods to experiment with in their teaching practice. During the webinar, they share their experiences and the feedback they received from children.

Handbook

A Practical Collection of Reading Aloud Methods in European Preschools and Kindergartens

​The handbook is available free of charge for download. It is currently published in English, with Swedish and German editions coming soon. The publication contains 20 reading-aloud methods with step-by-step instructions. A heartfelt thank you goes to the 29 early childhood educators from 7 countries who contributed to this valuable resource.
